They say truth is stranger than fiction. First, define strange, and then we'll see.

In progress...

Thief of Life (tentative title of novel)
I've committed to National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) again this year; it's been about 4 years since I last did this.  I haven't written much fiction in the past 4 months.  It's easy to say it's due to another out-of-state move, my father's illness and subsequent death, my grandmother's death, but of course, there is always something that can get in the way.  However, now I finally feel excited by the prospect of working in fiction again. This is the gift of NaNoWriMo, I suppose: energy, hope, freedom.

I've prepared an extensive outline on the characters and the major plot points, so I think I'm ready to hit the 50,000 word challenge.  The plan is to finally capture an idea that's been banging around in my skull for a while: a horror novel, believe it or not. I've talked so much about it, I feel like if should just jump onto the page, but we'll see.
